I'm Ashley.
I'm the creative director behind Pause The View Media. Based in Kelowna, BC, and serving the Okanagan, I specialize in capturing authentic moments with a focus on storytelling through lifestyle, portrait, event, and commercial photography.
The Pause The View Story
My passion for photography started in 2010 when I picked up my first camera while working at a photo and electronic store.
Since then, I pursued a career in education and became the senior media coordinator and educator for a high school in the North Vancouver School District. Between traveling regularly, capturing stories from local families to large events like FVDED in the Park, I fell in love with capturing life's most authentic moments.
I've now relocated to Kelowna, BC--in the heart of the Okanagan.
For me, photography is about preserving real moments that matter. When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll find me hanging out with friends, golfing, trying new restaurants and wineries, or playing with the pets at home.

I make sure your photos are vibrant and dynamic. Stray hairs, people in the background, etc? Not to worry-minor distractions will be taken care of. Your photos will be batch edited to perfection.
No one knows that but you!
I will help pose you, guide your hands, etc. to make sure you appear confident and at ease...and after a few photos you will actually feel that way! I promise.
